New Build Housing

We completed this new build site which comprised of 94 premium 4 and 5 bedroom houses in under a year. We used traditional tube and fitting scaffold, with system staircases for access. The site was set out in a semi-circle, next to an already completed phase. In addition to this, customers were also moving into the development whilst we were still completing our works. This meant we had to be considerate of the new residents whilst still working on site.
We also faced many restrictions in terms of delivery and access, with only one road being used for all four phases of the site. This resulted in us having to adhere to strict access rules, working with the site managers and other trades to ensure everything ran smoothly.

This site consists of two phases; the first completed phase was made up of 112 houses and 1 block of flats, and the second phase currently under construction is made up of approximately 200 houses and 10 blocks of flats. This is a consortium site, with three developers all building at the same time. Our scaffold was the first to be erected, and due to good weather conditions, the build progressed quicker than scheduled and was completed in one financial year with all plots cleared for sale.
This site proved challenging due to the fast pace of the build, but in spite of this, the site achieved the highest health and safety score, plus being the quickest build, making it the top site for that developer’s region. We are extremely proud to have been a contributor to this accolade as we consider health and safety to be paramount.
